In a previous Proto-file I took you on a very brief tour of the CP environment in and around Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. Too brief I think because there is a lot more to do and see in that prairie city than only four photos can cover. So here’s four more that may help give you a better sense of the place.

Photo 1 – Much of the eastern end of the yard in Moose Jaw is built conveniently above grade because eastbound locomotives have to tackle a significant hill beginning right at the yard limits. The grade also helps accommodate bridges over the number 2 highway (Photo 1) as well as Thunder Creek in Photo 2. Heavy telephone poles, billboards and signal boxes are ‘must have’ details in any urban scene.
