You can take the boy out of the prairie but you can’t take the prairie out of the boy. I love this picture. It says everything about branch line railroading where it really matters. Big sky, lonely telephone poles, cross bucks on a gravel grid road, a single wooden grain elevator, Trudeau hoppers and an engineer leaning out for a better look.
