Pictures I really like

I make a point of selectingpictures for the Photo-File that have something to teach us as model railroaders. I point out the things that seem obvious to me and sometimes my feedback suggests that you see a great deal more than I do. This is a good thing. But this time I decided to simply offer four photos I really like and, well, ‘damn the torpedoes'.

We can learn from photo 1 that it’s the late 70’s, it’s 44' below and not much else is moving around the station at Kapuskasing Ontario. And while we also know that manufacturers have come out with more or less acceptable sound cards in small scale engines, and DCC will turn the lights on and off, when will we ever see great clouds of steam boiling up from around our FPA-4 in ‘stripes’?
