Many of our model buildings are big and bold enough to ‘drive a train through’ or at least up next to. The major industries that make our layouts come to life are vital – and interesting - but perhaps we lean on them too much. An equally great building might not have nearly the size or function but it’s still worth a visit.
And if you haven’t visited Plantagenet Ontario you haven’t been anywhere. One of their most famous buildings is at trackside - with parking right in the front. The shed is classic in colour and style. Single ‘garage’ door, single small window and a lovely brick chimney. That speeder trailer is left outside on a pair of light rails just like on your layout. A fuel tank is outside and a location sign is prominent, though somewhat neglected in this case. Check out that overgrown siding.
