Another make over? This former retail store is right across the main street from the ‘bank’ but it still retains all of its original features. Perhaps the last of a long line of proprietress thought a little patchwork of colour would bring them in or perhaps he just got a deal on something he could afford. Never the less, it’s unique. Picture the owners family living up stairs, some swings and a slide on the lawn and the front windows filled with fresh baked goods or even a new summer house dress.

Yes it might be hard to explain a colourful model like this but you could always back it up with photos. Piko makes small buildings such as this in my scale and just about all the smaller scales as well. I’m pretty sure Walthers has simple buildings like this in HO and O and I’ve seen the same sort of thing from Pola for example in HO and N. Or you could build your own. But that’s another subject.
