CP caboose #CP 434727 was built in Angus Shops in 1981 and is presently assigned to Auxiliary Service out of Calgary. She sat unused on that siding during my weeklong stay in Didsbury and local business folk can’t recall it being moved for some time. I guess the age of the caboose is truly over.

Masterfeeds has feed manufacturing operations in six locations around Alberta with others in Ontario and Saskatchewan. Like the rest, this Didsbury plant produces feed for the local livestock and poultry industry and is typical of the modern type of industry located on sidings in prairie communities. Those big wooden elevators may be gone but great modelling project remains.
