WINTER VALLEY REGIONAL RAILWAY

GALLERY

Connections with another railroad sometimes offer us operational possibilities that just aren’t possible when we restrict ourselves to our own territory. We don’t have to model major interchange yards. Sometimes a simple scene on a simple siding will work for us.

In this case a bright yellow CP Rail caboose sits on a lonely spur just visible out behind the main line. A Red-faced snowplow from the same railroad adds colour to the scene and suggests late summer or early fall when winter maintenance tools are brought out from storage and made ready. Or these could be leased items that your own smaller operation could never afford on it’s own. It’s your story, but it clearly creates a ‘world outside’ that all your visitors will recognize.
