Back in southern Ontario, or Quebec, the FPA/B’4’s are hard at work in black and white. The zigzag is back though. J This old photo was dated 25 June 1973 but I’m not real sure about that.
I always associated this kind of overhead signal structure to be exclusively a ‘big city’ thing. I guess that reflects my prairie roots. Few of these exist deep in the Qu’Appelle Valley or even Moose Jaw or Regina. But here it is spanning a three track main line cut through a rocky outcrop some where in bush country.
I just had Les Mavor of SceniKing visit the layout and he has a backdrop that looks just like that rock cut. No promotion in these pages but I couldn’t resist. I’m fitting in one of his creations on the Winter Valley as well. It’s a great partner to some Geodesic Foam scenery I’m experimenting with. See, I really, really hate plaster.
