Number 112 Eastbound at Scott Saskatchewan. No matter what era you’re modelling, if you’re modelling the Canadian West your modelling grass. Lots of grass. The hottest train in Canada rushes past at 110kmh on quality double track in this early September 2006 photo and shows us that the roadbeds are over grown just about to the end of the ties. Plants and shrubs have even grown up around the signpost. Many years ago we may have seen a neat row of crushed rock along here but in today’s world of saving money and environmental concerns it’s wise to just let it grow. Just a point as well, even in the summer months these fields of grass wouldn’t be completely green so be sure to mix in a lot of browns and yellows when your applying that Woodland Scenics material.
